Voluntary gambling ban

Any person may apply to be banned from gambling. This request is made to the National Gambling Authority (ANJ). This ban is valid in casinos, gaming circles, on online gaming and betting sites operated by licensed operators in France, on the online lottery gaming site operated by La Française des jeux as well as on gaming terminals accessible with a player account operated by operators holding exclusive rights, in particular La Française des jeux and Le Pari mutuel urbain. This prohibition is pronounced for a period that cannot be less than three years. It is tacitly renewable.

The Laboratory of Psychopathology and Health Processes of the University of Paris is currently conducting a study that aims to analyse the relationships between emotional functioning, impulsivity and gambling, in order to better define the profiles of gamblers and to help those who encounter addiction problems.
